Paul Pogba

Where did his hype generate from? Is it because he left utd on a free to join a Juventus team who won 4 league titles on the trot? Or is it because of those 6 second vines with some Drum and Bass?

Admittedly I haven't seen as much of him as I'd like to, but when I have seen him play, they do tend to be in big games. Take last year World Cup matches, he was good, but nothing to suggest the hype. The tag being thrown around of 50mill+ would suggest he is like prime Xavi and Yaya Toure into one. However what is impressive is his athletic ability. Not many players have that sort of physical prowess to go with technical ability.

I'm sure he's got a lot of potential etc, but currently, he isn't world class as price tags would suggest. I think Ramsey is better right now, when he plays in central midfield that is. But he isn't worth 50mill either, when rumours came out couple weeks back about Barca's interest in him.

Could these price tags being mooted be because of the way the game has evolved in past couple years, that maybe the fashion is once again box to box players like Pogba and Ramsey?
