Tenby v Lions
Tenby (4-3-3): Reina; Cancelo, Williams, Martinez, Davies; San Jose, Jorginho (Allen 75), Ramsey; Deulofeu, Pelle (Ings 75), Tello
Lions (3-4-3): Lodygin; Gouweleeuw, Gonalons, Umtiti; Danilo, Veretout, Tielemans (Sinkgraven 65), Amavi; Anderson (Ziyech 75), Lacazette, Sterling (Fekir 75)
MATCH REPORT
A bit of old-fashioned v ultra-modern in tactical styles here; Di’s boys play a simple and honest game, sitting deep and using pace on the counter with a good mix of physicality, technical ability and pace throughout the team. Leiva’s setup is designed to emulate the forward-thinking systems of modern twáts – sorry, managers – like Klopp and Brenda. There’s a lot to like about his young, pacey and tricky setup which is designed to contract in defence and expand rapidly in attack.
And, true to form, the result I thought least likely is the one the fruity picked. Di’s boys were disciplined in defence and while Ramsey found a lot of freedom with neither of Leiva’s central midfielders being the best at tracking runs from midfield, Di’s defence struggled a bit with the movement of Leiva’s attacking trio, particularly Lacazette whose drifting often left big Ashley Williams well behind. At the other end, Pelle shaded the aerial battle with Tello in particular finding space behind the forward-thinking Danilo, who himself was causing Davies some problems when Lions went forward.
There were lots of chances, but no-one seemed to have packed their shooting boots, each team’s striker being unusually profligate in particular. However both sides changed things up after 75 minutes and that was the spark the game needed. 3 minutes later the home side took the lead, Danny Ings escaping Gouweleeuw’s attentions briefly to turn in a Tello cutback. The lead only lasted 6 minutes though, and the equaliser was a beauty. Lacazette played it into Fekir, who stepped over the ball and spun off San Jose; the ball ran to Ziyech who laid it off for Fekir to stroke it first time into the top corner from 25 yards. Lovely football. 1-1, which is how the game ended.

Notts v Mandems
Notts (4-4-2): De Gea; Darmian, Gentiletti, Marquinhos, Bernat; Marchisio, Sturaro, Verratti, Thiago; Alexis, Martial (Tolisso 80)
Mandems (4-5-1): Guaita; Clyne, Smalling, Dante, Bertrand; Insigne, Eriksen, Schweinsteiger (Aranguiz 75), Fellaini, Silva; Suarez
MATCH REPORT
Notts set up to dominate possession with a high line and four central midfielders, all of whom like to get on the ball. Mandems set up with a deep line and wingers, but from the tactics I didn’t get any real feel for the team’s general style of play. There were tons of individual instructions in there, but it wasn’t clear to me whether they were supposed to use the counter, or generally be attacking, or whether they were supposed to look wide or narrow, or whether they were keeping the ball on the deck or not…
That said, Mandems have a lot of excellent players, though I don’t think Eriksen was used right in this system at all. He’s no CM and he’s certainly not a player you should ask to hassle and harry defenders. For their part, Notts had a clear system although they were clearly weakened by some big injuries. I’d rate Suarez’s chances at giving Gentiletti a hard game, and Trebs was right to focus on Notts’ very attacking full backs as areas they could get some joy. Similarly, targeting Sanchez is obviously the right ploy, though I’m not sure Trebs’ four defenders are quite at the standard Trebs believes they are.
It was a simple move that brought the opening goal after 21 minutes. Notts had had some 73% possession at this point without really threatening, but a long clearance from Smalling was flicked on by Fellaini towards Suarez, who rolled Gentiletti before outmuscling him and getting in on goal. His finish was goal-bound even without a heavy deflection off the covering Marquinhos; either way De Gea was helpless. 0-1 Mandems.
Mex wasn’t impressed and the half-time threats of poisoned beverages clearly did the trick. Notts came out with renewed vigour in the 2nd half, moving the ball about quicker, and Marchisio was particularly instrumental, Eriksen not really able to keep tabs on him as he strode imperiously about the base of the home side’s midfield. After 54 minutes the Italian stallion zipped a good ball into Thiago’s feet and the “Spaniard" played an indefensible ball between the home centre halves where Anthony Martial slipped in to sweep home. 1-1.
After 73 minutes the comeback was complete. Possession stats were only around the low 60s in Mex’s favour now as they were taking a few more risks in possession, but this time Verratti pinged a great ball out wide to Alexis who had drifted to the right wing. His cross was superb and Martial couldn’t miss from 8 yards. 2-1 to Notts, and so it stayed with Notts seeing out the win.

1 - First minute and Gabbiadini makes the first impact of new manager Rex's Gosport career with a straight from kick off.
3 - for Taiwan who immediately take the lead in their game. Rafinha is caught in possession by Alaba, playing a new look midfield role and he plays the ball quickly to Tevez to slot the opening goal past Lloris.
Taiwan 1-0 Basingstoke
8 - Bright play from Southend with a good run down the left from Kurzawa but he's brought down by Fischer for a . Battersea have been better in the opening exchanges but Gosport look nasty on the counter and Vazquez misplaced a pass which could have seen Zaza in.
11 - Basingstoke have gone a goal down but are recovering well, Gundogan has had a long range strike saved by Cech, and Luiz Adriano was fouled by Chiellini who gets a .
13 - Straight back to the Taiwan vs Basingstoke game, and it could have been 2-0 with good work from Evra down the left and an excellent low ball finding Fabregas who plays in Coutinho, but it's a bad miss. for Geis for chopping down Odegaard in the Fishguard-Southend game.
13 - to Fiorentina.
Slightly against the run of play as Ivanovic powers home a header from the corner. Textbook header from the centre of the six yard box.
14 - Vidal has tried a long range effort which Given was a little slow to react to but does and it's a corner. The corner is whipped in and finds Rami but he heads over the bar.
17 - for Pride as they immediately respond to going a goal down against Fiorentina. Wijanldum wins a free kick after being fouled by Pasqual () and it's Robben who takes it and sends it into the top corner to equalise.
Pride 1-1 Fiorentina
18 - Still 0-0 in the Fishguard vs Southend game and it doesn't look like we'll see a goal soon. to keep us entertained though. We've seen Zivkovic, Weigl and Korb in the book for Fishguard. And Gosport's Soriano is in the book too.
20 - Another counter from Gosport and Xhaka sees a shot saved by Jefferson. We've seen a controversial to Yaya Toure.
24 - for Cech and Shaqiri who have a scuffle from a Basingstoke corner, not sure what that was all about. Still 1-0 to Taiwan.
28 - Taiwan should be level. But they aren't. Carrillo makes a brilliant run down the wing, cuts inside to beat Evra and is chopped down. The referee plays a brilliant advantage but Rafinha blazes his shot wide. for Evra. It's still 0-0 in the Battersea-Gosport game but this has been entertaining, Battersea dominating time on the ball but Gosport have had one or two opportunities on the counter.
30 - for Battersea.
Mario Mandzukic beats Abdennour in the air from a cross from Pablo Piatti and opens the scoring. A deserved goal.
33 - for Basingstoke. We just said they should be level. Now they are, an equaliser they probably deserve on the balance of play. And it's so simple, a corner comes in and Kurt Zouma powers a header home to make it 1-1.
Taiwan 1-1 Basingstoke
34 - Fishguard are starting to take control of this game and Odegaard finds Vietto but he shoots just wide. Pride have had the best chance in what's been a quiet game against Fiorentina, with Wijnaldum finding Afobe but Coke just getting back in time.
36 - as Southend take the lead against Fishguard, good work from Welbeck on the left finds Sturridge in space who slots home a simple goal. Fishguard aren't in control in this game.
Fishguard 0-1 Southend
38 - Take a bow Gianluigi Buffon. Not because you made a save or anything, just because you're a great goalkeeper. Meanwhile, Rami has a for Battersea as he gives away a free kick, which deflects off the wall and goes just over the bar.
40 - PENALTY TO TAIWAN
That's a terrible penalty to concede. Carvajal stuck out a hand to block a shot and it's a blatant penalty for Carvajal.
42 - and that's Taiwan in front and it looks like they'll have the lead going into half time. Alonso calmly sends his penalty into the bottom corner.
Taiwan 2-1 Basingstoke
44 - Unlucky that Battersea don't have a second goal with Lucas beating Monreal and cutting inside but completely scuffs his shot.
45 - Injury time in all the games. Any goals?
45 +1 How have Pride not got the lead going into half time? Koscielny rises highest from a corner and heads past Casillas but Nastasic is on hand to clear off the line. Still level.
45 +3 - for Trippier (Southend) and also for Monreal (Gosport).
45 +4 - And we are in half time in all the games now. Will we see any changes in the second half?
46 - So, all the games have kicked off now.
48 - Fiorentina looking a bit better this half and Yaya Toure makes one of his trademark runs from midfield and smashes a powerful shot, superbly saved by Enyeama.
50 - <goal> for Taiwan.
Things have gone from bad to worse for Basingstoke. Tevez has scored a thunderbolt. A long range thunderbolt. Incredible goal, and this game looks to be over. Unlucky Tbag.
Taiwan 3-1 Basingstoke
52 - Emre Can is a very underrated player in that Southend midfield, he's no Pjanic, but he has been passing the ball superbly and he's found Ibe just now who started to run with the ball but Friedrich superbly tackles the winger. Pasqual is really struggling against Robben today in the Pride-Fiorentina game.
55 - for Battersea as Firmino doubles their lead. Vidal won possession from Xhaka and played it to Firmino, who dribbled past Valdifiori in the midfield and Alderweireld in defense and calmly slotted the ball past Shay Given.
Battersea 2-0 Gosport
55 - Chance for Vietto to equalise as he drifts wide and gets the ball and goes for goal, but Terry blocks it away for a corner. for Lucas of Battersea. Pride have played some good football today and Aubemayang has seen a penalty appeal turned down after contact in the box with Badstuber.
57 - Is there any hope for Basingstoke? They're still trying, but I'm not sure whether they can keep it at 3-1, let alone get back into this game. Taiwan have been all at sea, they've had for midfielders Gundogan and Rafinha and Basingstoke have been struggling.
58 - Zaza thinks he's in as he finds a long ball but it's been given offside. Tough call. Hearing rumours of a penalty though in one of the other games...
59 - PENALTY TO FIORENTINA
Kouyate concedes the penalty and gets a . It's controversial as Iniesta seems to go down easily but it's given. Ibrahimovic puts the ball on the spot as Pride goalkeeper Enyeama talks to the referee.
60 - We've reached the hour mark in all our games.
61 - Ibrahimovic steps up to take the penalty but it's wide. He sends Enyeama the wrong way, but no. Pride and Fiorentina still level at 1-1.
63 - <goal> Bad mistake there from Bonucci who gets skinned by Shaqiri. The winger shoots early and has got his side back into the game as the ball goes in at the near post. Is this the start of something?
Taiwan 3-2 Basingstoke
65 - Saponara is on for Vazquez for Gosport
66 - Triple subsitution for Fiorentina as Besic, Vidic and Luca Toni all come on. Looks like fresh legs rather than a change of system.
67 - Triple subsitution for Basingstoke, bringing on Quintero, Milik and Bolasie. Can that get them back into the game? We've seen a mistake from Tah in the Fishguard defense which almost lets Sturridge in, but the keeper is quick off his line to fix the mistake.
72 - So, so close to a Fishguard equaliser. Fischer cuts in from the left and plays a nice one two, but he finds his shot bounce back off the post and Mustafi smashes it to safety. Iniesta has just played a lovely chipped pass to Luca Toni who powers a header against the crossbar.
75 - for Tevez, chopping down Laporte as he tries to bring the ball out of defense.
77 - Good chance there for Pride as Aubemayang gets in behind the centre backs and send a terrific low shot on goal. Casillas just about parries it to safety.
79 - Last ten plus injury time. Any twists?
80 - Chance for Taiwan substitute Son to end the game once and for all but he hits the crossbar from six yards out. Taiwan still a goal up. Ozunali is on for Odegaard for Fishguard as they try to find an equaliser, and Calum Wilson for Gosport who are two down.
82 - Sturridge spots Nyland off his line and tries the spectacular, but it's over the bar and Southend can't get that second goal. Pride should have got the winner as Robben superbly finds Wijnaldum but his shot is weak.
83 - for Gosport, can they get anything out of this game? Zaza drifts wide and finds space between Rami and Peruzzi, and blasts the ball past Jefferson into the roof of the net.
Battersea 2-1 Gosport
88 - for Basingstoke.
What has happened here? Basingstoke have equalised. A long ball from Laporte over the top has found Bolasie who sidefoots the simplest of finishes past Cech and out of nowhere, Basingstoke have equalised. Who would have seen that coming.
89 - and what a goal that is.
Lichsteiner powers in a long range effort which catches Battersea goalkeeper Jefferson by surprise and it's 2-2. Who needs Ivanovic?
90 - PENALTY TO FIORENTINA
Austin bursts into the box and is taken out by Ayhan, a bad mistake from the young centre back. Ibrahimovic has missed one earlier today, will he step up?
91 - Fishguard have one more chance to equalise as Ozunali robs Geis and finds Zivkovic, he wins a corner, which is whipped in with everyone up...
91 - And Fiorentina have won 2-1 it seems.
Of course Ibrahimovic steps up, and he makes no mistake this time as he finds the top corner.

92 - The corner finds centre back Tah but he doesn't get the header on target and it looks like Southend have won this game.
93 - in Basingstoke vs Taiwan
There's been another twist in this game as Basingstoke have scored again to win the game at the death. Taiwan clearly wanted the winner, but a fast counter attack, finished by the fresh legs of Quintero has ended this game.
94 - And that's it. Full time in all the games.

Where the game was won (by Lee Dixon)
I've said before that I like the Taiwan formation but I'm not sure it still gives the element of surprise. It's a great formation, and they have a good side, the better team on paper for sure.
Basingstoke have put in an excellent tactical display and deserve a lot of credit, they knew the 'surprise' Taiwan formation and countered it in their tactics superbly. Their side on paper is young but has experience in it. Rafinha is probably the next player I'd look to upgrade.
Overall, Taiwan have a slightly better XI, but Basingstoke have done their homework tactically and for me that gives them a great chance in this game, my thoughts are somewhere between a draw and a 'shock' away win.

Where the game was won (by Martin Keown)
Fishguard have reverted to a more orthodox set up and they have a team of young players. I like their ideas with interchanging, high energy and pressing. But the obvious issue is the lack of quality in the side, apart from a couple they have players who might be up there in a couple of years. Who aren't there now
I've told Southend before that I don't like the whoscored website, there's too much in there of telling me how great their players are and not enough proper explanation of what is wanted from their side. Oh, and Pjanic should have started today for sure.
Southend clearly have the better side on paper. Fishguard have a better set of tactics, but overall I feel Southend just about edge it.

Where the game was won (by guest pundit Arsene Wenger)
I'm not a fan of the Battersea defense, I think Rami isn't a good defender, Gabriel iand Peruzzi are two defenders with great potential, but I just don't feel they are there yet. Gaya is an excellent defender. Looking past that, their side is excellent. Good work from the snake. The midfield and attack would do well, it's a great combination.
Gosport have set up in a way that would make them difficult to break down, and I could see them being effective as a counter attacking side. Shay Given for me needs improving, and I find it difficult to see how your side would fit together. I also think while your centre backs are decent, Mandzukic would bully them.
Overall, the snake has a better team than the kid and edges it tactically. I can't see Gosport winning it, perhaps sneaking a draw though. Plenty of goals in any case.

Where the game was won (by Nigel Winterburn)
It's difficult to rate Ayhan with him playing a few times for Schalke, being a young player. I like the rest of the defense, and with Mascherano protecting it's a solid base. Kouyate looks the wink link in that side along with Afobe (despite having a great season, he's just not at the level of the rest of the side).
The Fiorentina side, I'm not a fan of it defensively. It's impossible to rate Badstuber due to his injuries, and I think Casillas and Pasqual would be the next two places I'd look to improve. I can see the Pride attackers having joy against the back five, particularly if Robben/Afobe find the space between wing back and LCB/RCB. With Iniesta, Yaya and Ibrahimovic going forward I can see them certainly getting at least a goal.
