Este
He looked good in the FA final.
England don't experiment with an overall plan like a lot of other countries do. Look at Klinsman with the US.
He dropped many of his established players to create
A team that he gave time to develop (mirroring what he did with Germany). No household names. But, he broke away from 'names' and it's starting to pay off.
Recent results against the Dutch and Germans (albeit friendlies) show that Jurgen's methods work. Whereas
Roy's and English football's still struggle. Maddening. Now Apathy's set in for me.

batty, that comes down to the old grass roots football!..
Germany sorted the grass roots out and they're about the best there is at this moment!..
Player's in England are miles behind most of the world, and that's a shame because there are enough player's there to be a force!..
The footballing bosses are to blame, but you could also say English football is because it pays top dollar and the rest off the worlds best player's have that dollar imprinted in their heads!..
If English football didn't pay what it pays, would English football be better?..
I'd think yes!.

Hoofball doesnt work,
Had a kickabout last week with my daughter and her mates, some of the boys ball skill was unreal.
Back to basics,control,pass,move.

este, in Germany you have top teams funding their schools and some even have coaching staff and players going to open days at the schools and playing footy with the kids and answering questions about their favorite game!..
Not sure, maybe they do it in England, but if they are and at the same time charging kids to come and show them how good they are!..
That's crap!..
How many off those kids fall through the net because their parents cant afford the fee?..
"When I was a kid,we played on sodden pitches, sloped etc."
When I was a kid we used to play in the Dutch Barn, Oakbank Grammer school!.
Pain with no end when you hit the deck!..
Concrete!........but played on the water slopes as well!.
FFS, I've just doodled it and it ain't Oakbank Grammer school any more!.
And Tommy Lee is an ex-pupil!.

I don't think grass roots is the problem. We develop enough class players its just that they fall into the "hole" between 18-21 and do not develop.
How many young lads have we lost to Chelsea amd Man City like Woods and Taiwoo... Never to play!
More need to play in the PL.
We do need to develop more players like Wilshere in midfield which I think will come now that we respect what his sort of player brings. Go back 10 years... Everything was 442. You had two wingers in midfield with a Batty holding and a Lampard scoring. Scholes was a player before his time who we didn't understand where he fitted in.
You see Loftus-Cheek, Grealish, Ward-Prowse emerging who all seem passing midfielders.

Nah, in school my best two subjects were sport and art, not much good at either now though!.
