a nice bank holiday

At last a bank holiday weekend in Bournemouth, cant recall last time we played a seaside time in the summer. An away win , few days on the beach , what could be better.
A vast improvement on Blackpool away in feb, that is depressing.
Not sure of our run in though.

Nuneaton I'll be very surprised if we're not comfortable for the duration of the season. We'll improve be more like the side we're capable of being. Worry not 😉

I'll take functional friendlies over over-hyped glamour friendlies any day. Monaco last year was the Jermaine Beckford of friendlies.

Interesting that Sky's 'Relegation: who has the worst run-in?' features 6 sides and we're not one of them

BBC's analysis mentioned us as having a tough run-in. However, that analysis was by the atrocious and biased Phil McNulty so maybe it's not so bad.

I still dont see it as a tough run in.

Our last 12 games include
H Norwich
H WBA
A Watford
H Newcastle (these 4 back to back is a good run its self)
A C Palace
H Southampton
A sunderland
H West Ham
H Swansea

There is good points up for grabs in these games

Fox_14 you should know by now that John will only stop complaining when we've signed Messi and have Jose Mourinho in charge 😉

TOTF: As long as we do the business in those 9, the fine. But if we are still in need of points going into the last 3 games (as we were last season), then visits to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge could be really bad news. That would be especially true if the top end of the table wasn't sorted by then, and Chelsea needed a win to stay on course for the league title or Man U a win to hang on to a Champions League berth.

If, by 'run-in', we are talking last third of the season, then yes, it's fine. But if we mean 'last 5 games', then we have a pretty demanding one. And if we mean 'last 3 games', then it's decidedly tough.

The message from the fixture list is that we mustn't leave ourselves a mountain to climb for the second year in a row. But then I think we all felt that way *before* we saw the fixture list.

I think we'll be well safe by the last three games, I really can't see us strugglig at all next season.

Dear oh dear, John is finally running out of things to have a dig at Pearson about, so now he resorts to complaining about the pre-season friendly schedule.

Keep going John, you'll come to the bottom of that barrel soon enough.

Cut him some slack, he's disappointed that NP didn't bully everyone into keeping his son at the Club, another chance slips by.
