If the Sun is to be believed, then it looks like Nani is off for 6 million. What is it with us letting players go for buttons? Didn't he not sign a new contract in 2014?

What hold does Valencia have over us?
Nani for 6 large

Oh, and he also had 7 PL assists in the 11/12 season.

No, he got a couple of goals against arsenal and thats about it.

And assists against City & Chelsea. So impacted on games against 3 of our biggest rivals.

First 10 games he got 4 goals and 6 assists. Decent

Is there actually any point in anyone trying to make a counter point to you? I'm sure if someone looked they'd find stats and other things that show he's not been that bad, and probably worth 100k, but you'd just ignore it anyway....
We get it, you don't like him but like it or not, he was one of the only players during the last season that looked like he gave a fúck and wanted to be there.
There's a reason 3 managers have persisted with him since he's been here...

You seem to be moving the goal posts here. You said that he wasn't ever worth 100k per week. I disagree and have explained why I think he was worth that when he first signed.
You also said that last season was the only time that he has played well/ok for us. I disagreed and said that he had a good start then got injured.
I haven't said anything about him playing well after that time - just pointing out where I disagree and your inaccuracies.

Elvis, I wouldn't bother, you could point out he has a good season in 2013 ( I don't know if that's true) but Stretty would just ask you what he's done since.

He did no shine, by any stretch, he put together a reasonable run off form for what was a first in his utd career.
And even then he managed about 3 assists. He really is a very average player.

I have the feeling no matter what, he'd NEVER win you over.

Fact is he is not wanted, nor did he rip up any trees last season. The fee reflects the situation.

This and the fact that his wages are too high for most clubs that would be interested in him.
United want rid and he is only worth what clubs are willing to pay.
It's easy for fans to moan about selling on the cheap but what is the alternative? Play hardball and end up being stuck with him for another season at a cost of £6m in wages....What would be the point of that if the manager does not want him?
The mistake is not in letting him go for buttons, the mistake was giving Nani a lucrative and lengthy contract in the first place, the consequences of which we are now facing.

that particular poster has a bad history of displaying pure ignorance.
Cannot even be bothered to highlight it anymore.
