I'm a huge Scott Coker fan because I love the MMA/pro-wrestling nexus that MMA offered before Dana White's dudebro snobbery took over. Coker's also a great scout for talent, evident by the # of strikeforce fighters holding belts and fighting for belts in UFC today.
So anyway Bellator 138 was awesome. I thought the Kimbo/Shamrock fight was one of the most exciting fights of the year. Both are past their best, but they put on a good fight that had me marking out. Also the entrances were epic!! Road Warrior Animal came out to pump up the crowd for Shamrock, whom I was wanting to win
The other fights were great also; Bobby Lashley and Patricio looked good in victory, although Lashley was supposed to fight brit James Thompson, who had to pull out.
All and all, I am looking forward to future Bellator events in the hope that they keep the WWE-styled matchups going, in addition to the newer fighters that will likely hold all of the belts. Coker's has a good mix of new fighters and old veterans on the roster, and like Fabricio Werdum proved last week at UFC, veterans still have much to offer
