Spurs Link / James Maddison

Spurs fan here. Mate of mine is a sky blue and is fairly nonplussed about the proposed 'link' between our two clubs. He is more concerned its a less than subtle approach for your young midfielder James Maddison? Two questions, would you as fans like a tie in with Spurs (so long as it wasn't of the sort of arrangement we supposedly had with Real Madrid) and what are you opinions on Maddison?
