Overrated and Underrated Spurs Players

m,ental toughness is one of the biggest things that sets decent/average players and top players apart.

look at the work and dedication ronaldo has put in to get to the very top.....


not enough players push...push push to reach greater hieghts.


mainly imo due to getting too much too soon thrown at them....sterling a case in point right now....

Spurs players are difficult to rate accurately. So many (Dembele, Adebayor, Paulinho, Soldado, Kaboul, Lamela, even Eriksen to a degree) are clearly very talented but just don't play well. Is it not underrating them to say they're crap players when they clearly have the talent?

Eriksen is perhaps a little overrated by each one of those. He is seen as one of our 3 key players this last season along with Kane and Lloris, particularly by oppo fans and the media. In reality he blows hot and cold a lot and did not have a great last couple of months of the season. Players like Chadli and Rose have been as good as him this season. Even Lennon had as many assists as Eriksen.

Overrated:
Dembele, even in his 'good' games this season he wasn't particularly great.
Vertonghen, even though I think this is less of the case now. He made the TOTY off of the back of a couple of goals.
Dier, I started to really like him but people have instantly forgotten how diabolically ratshît he was at the start of the season.

Underrated:
Walker, bit of a sick note and goes through 3/4 games of poor form but I think Spurs fans forget how crucial he can be, and has been for us.

Eriksen, people have started really getting on his back on the basis of a poor 2015. Forgetting how good he was in the first half of the season. Issue with modern football, people only remember the last 10 games, not the first ten. Which is why Coutinho got voted in TOTY. Also why people never really mention how good Naismith was this season when he played.

Lloris, not by our, or other, fans. Just the media seem to vastly underrate him. Especially considering he was playing on a level similar to Courtious and DDG this season.

I actually think Lloris is a little overrated by our lot. Pulls off some great saves, and off his line like shít off a shovel, don't get me wrong, but aerially be is quite poor and his distribution is shocking. Not the full package for me.

I think on the whole the squad is underrated. It's made out they are at the level of your Stokes and Newcastles, but we do have quality - it just doesn't fit the way the coach likes to play and he doesn't budge.

Eriksen is pretty much at the level I'd expect for a lad of 23 that's been shunted here there and everywhere under three coaches in 2yrs. Yes he goes missing sometimes, but how any winners did he pull out of the bag double late?
