Out with the old in with the new

One of the challenges Roberto had when he joined us was adding youth to an ageing side. Over the last two years I feel like he has achieved this both through signing promising youngsters and promoting youth from within.
We now have a potentially very young and talented squad as seen below

Robles
Browning Stones Galloway Garbutt
Besic McCarthy
Deulofeu Barkley Cleverley
Lukaku

I agree OP - getting Garbutt signed up and those two in is a great start to the summer signings, I'm hopeful that we start seeing a fair few players come through from the under 21's under Martinez

We've got Henen now too so that's another plus ledson coming through in a couple of years

has Henen signed permanently?

Yep he's gone to join the U21's training in Austria
Won't be announced until next week though

I watched him a few times last season - could be another good deal that

Garbutt will be getting lots of experience at bournemouth and Henen, well I have no idea how that would work out.

But if Mirallas is on his way out then he will get chances with the first team

Bournemouth have just signed Mings (Ipswich left back) for £8m so maybe Garbutt is no longer going there

Shame as he would be playing a similar style of football with them and not had to sit and wait for Baines to be out

I'm sure in the next few years Everton will win a trophy. Rooney is always going to go back to you for the last few years of his career and play as your man up top.

If you can keep hold of and develop players like Stones, Barkley and Cleverley to be more consistently the players they've shown themselves to be on their day, and keep adding the right ready made players to the mix, you've got as much potential as a squad as any in the league. Perception from within the club and your fan base has to change though on what is and isn't success if you are going to achieve great things in the near future.
