Players and their Agents will obviously be entitled to explore their future options if their current contracts end on 30/06/15 and they or their current club chooses not to renew them and it would be naïve to imagine that negotiations cannot open before then as we have seen so far. Signing Williams and failing in the several other cases proves this. So if the club were keen to sign particular players they would put pressure on them to sign, rather than allowing the players to delay to see if anything better comes up.

Of course this is the very thing that Dickov said that he would NOT tolerate.

Yet he has.

The journalists never hold him to account for his past statements. They are beguiled by his silver tongued verbosity. There was a headline on 17/06/15 in the Star which read “Dickov close to landing Davies”. Why does no one ask him what has happened there?

If PD is the major supplier of hot air then you are the major supplier of verbal diarrhea.

Maybe the Davies speculation was to deflect attention away from the persuit of Williams but you probably haven't thought of that in your rush to have a go at anything Dickov.

As for putting pressure on players to sign, well how would you feel if you had three job opportunities came along and one of the prospective employers put pressure on you to accept a position?

Players have as much right as anyone else to weigh up their options before making up their mind where to go.

How do you know whether or not the club are in negotiations with players?
You do not of course so why bleat on about them not doing so.

Honestly, for fooks sake, just cut the crap and let the club get on with doing their jobs and come back and moan if we don't have a decent team by the time we play Bury.

DickOff will get 12 games to be up in the top 6, or he'll be gone and Rob Jones will taken over till January. If he's turned it around and we're up the top end, I believe they'll keep him in charge till the end of the season.
If he does what Saunders did he'll get the job permanent.
