okay no one is secure then - glad we've established that, pretty sure Suarez is secure at Barca though

Most aren't secured, I think fans have slowly began to understand that over the years as their best players, under contract, ask to leave.
Barca and Madrid, perhaps an exception to the rule.

So we have secured his services for five more years
He is contracted to Everton Football Club for five years......unless the club and player agree to a transfer he will be at the club for a minimum of five years.
So that's a contract to 2020, five years in laymans terms.
So what part is difficult for you to understand TOOR

I understand you have him under contract for five years. What you're failing to understand is that doesn't secure him for five years.

No, unless the club want to sell we have him for FIVE years.
That's the contract he signed, unless he has a release clause or both parties agree to a transfer.
So he is secure to the club for five years

Riiight. I guess Everton can join Madrid and Barcelona then. Well done.

Why, can no other club secure players for the length of their contract? It makes you wonder why players like Ings were available out of contract?
So he was secured for the length of his previous contract, so safe to say Garbutt is also secured Dr the length of his.

Ok, can you have a guess which is most, those who move clubs whilst under contract or those who move after seeing through the length of their contract. Take your time, this is a toughie!

I think you have an issue reading TOOR, just have a read through the above post again and accept it. Let it sink in and then realise that a part time student is never going to defeat a Master

Yeah I thought you might ignore my last comment. Predictable.

Yet you ignored my earlier comment.
So unless the club agree the sell a player, let's use Garbutt as an example, they have secured him for the length of his contract. Let's say we use Garbutt and his five year contract as an example then. Having signed a five year deal with Everton it means that Everton have secured him for?
That's right, five years. Not three, one or seven, but FIVE years.
