Iker Casillas I think because he played for Real Madrid, certain people think he's untouchable. Mourinho was hounded out of Madrid for being a coward, but picking up on Casillas for being vastly inferior is one thing he got right.
Lahm- He got converted to a midfielder he was so poor at right-back. Forged his name because he got an easy ride playing for Bayern in the Bundesliga where he had little challenge.
John Terry- I'm amazed so many people rate this guy. All of his success is because Mourinho is a coward who plays so defensively, that season under Villas-Boas he looked utterly lost.
Ledley King- Tottenham fans speak of this guy like he was Baresi when in fact he was another average English centre-back like Matthew Upson or Scott Dann. His injury made his career as it made them think he was a better player than he truly was.
Roberto Carlos- Did people even watch Roberto Carlos or have they just looked at Youtube clips and admired him for some great free-kicks? Anyone can look good on Youtube, it just shows a lack of knowledge the way people big up Carlos.
Andres Iniesta- I know this one is controversial and he is a great player, but it doesn't mean he isn't overrated. He doesn't actually do a lot in games, much like Zidane, faint and graceful touches score him undeserved plaudits.
Steven Gerrard- It would have been interesting if he did leave Liverpool as it would likely have diminished his standing. Playing in a poor team boosted his reputation and he has made a career out of a Milan team bottling it.
Zinedine Zidane- It's actually a travesty the amount of brilliant French players who are in this guy's shadow, he was very average for a lot of his career and although it was interspersed with moments of brilliance, he was never at that highest level people so often bracket him in.
Robert Pires- the fact this guy has played for so many poor teams late in his career says it all. I'm a Villarreal fan and he played with us and was nowhere near among our best players, yet Arsenal fans would have you believe he was something special- just another hyped up member of the draw specialist invincibles.
Dennis Bergkamp-Another Arsenal player who has re-written history, memorised for a very good goal admittedly, but did not do a lot in his career to merit such vast plaudits.
Gianfranco Zola- It's telling about Chelsea that one of their greatest ever players isn't even among the top five Italian forwards of the 1990s. Nowhere near a Premier League great let alone a World great.

Cafu-----------Terry--------King---------Roberto Carlos

The team looks even more average when you line them up like that, so many weaknesses.

Should read *goes back in the family*, a reference to my old man. I'm 'only' 46.

I wonder how much you paid for the carbon dating to determine how old you are. There weren't birth certificates when you were born surely

I was probably around your age when I used to work with a guy in his late 40s who I constantly took the píss out of and alternatively referred to as Fossil or Jurassic.
Karma!
