One last horrifying thought, what would you do if LVG doesn't buy a top striker and uses Fellaini as an extra forward now we have so many CMs?!

Worse case scenario, Rooney gets injured and we have 3 options, use Depay as a striker, use Fellaini as a targetman or put our faith in Wilson (assuming Hernandez leaves).
None of the 3 options are particularly appealing but if our midfield and wingers are on point, we may be able to get by if we are playing the weaker teams.
I seriously doubt LVG will let RVP, Falcao and Hernandez leave without signing a new striker though.

If we're only playing with one out and out striker then we don't need as many forwards as used to. If we keep Hernandez as cover then I think we're OK.
I have more concern out wide. We only have Young, Memphis, Mata (and that's not his ideal place) and Valencia. I really don't like Rooney playing there and I've completely given up on ADM.
