Not football-related, but there isn't too much top discuss at the moment anyway. Quick mention for Carl who has announced his retirement. An excellent boxer who always gave punters their money's worth. The final round stoppage of Jermain Taylor in 2009 was unbelievable and will stay in the memory for many years. Good Forest lad and good pro - hope he enjoys his retirement.

Good on him, model pro and deserves all the plaudits even if he was a bit cringeworthy at times when talking about himself.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching his fights even if he wasn't technically the best boxer. Always entertaining and a sportsman that the whole of Nottinghamshire can be proud of.
Always gave the fans their money's worth in a sport where millions of people were massively shortchanged for that Mayweather fight recently, for example. Just a shame he couldn't persuade Kessler to have that rematch fight at the City Ground a few years ago. That would've been spectacular.

Not a boxing fan but that George Groves knockout was sensational. Hope he enjoys his retirement and maybe see him involved at Forest in some way.
