Fantastic that we have done some business early with Cech but surely if we have identified targets this summer then I thought the plan was to do business early.
But based on history and the way wenger operates, I won't be suprised if we don't see any activity up until the end of August while we are well into the season.
We have what a net spend of £5M so far so there is plenty of funds available.
If we are going to bring anyone I just hope we can get them in before the emirates cup.
Let's not forget injuries, Rosicky is already out for about 4-5 weeks and I won't be surprised if Welbeck fails to start the season.
25 days until the season starts!

City and Chelsea have done fack all too. It's too early to panic.

It's us who have to catch them, not vice versa, so the fact they have not bought anyone means little.

Everyone seems to assume that it won't happen for Falcao at Chelsea either.

I think your find firmino, clyne, milner, can, lallana are not sht or wasted money. Balotelli and borini yes; but it seems they are surplus to requirements.
Lets look forward to a good season and may best team win

City were ahead of us last season and have just brought in Sterling.
We all know they will bring in one or two more big players

Just like Aspas was the next big thing, Adam is better than Modric and Sterling would outperform Alexis. More trash from the ultimate spin master Got_Better. You've never seen Firmino play, how do you know if he is rubbish or not. Can and Lallana were signings made last Summer which contributed to a dreadful season on all fronts for Liverpool. Milner is decent and nothing more. Clyne is a solid defender but sadly for you a right back isn't going to be the difference between finishing behind Spurs and competing with the big boys.
There are 3 teams we need to worry about - Chelsea, City and United.
If we are to look at things positively from our point of view, we found a lot more balance in our team in the 2nd half of the season, we also seem to have found a solution to our injury woes (even if we haven't, they can't be as bad as last season). We have made a massive upgrade in goal which WILL win us more points, undoubtedly. City can consider Sterling an upgrade on Nasri/Navas but nothing major. Do people really think his signing is going to pull them away from us? Chelsea have weakened if anything swapping Cech and Drogba for Begovic and Falcao. United have brought in some good players but they have lost RVP and could still lose De Gea. They are going to make a LOT of changes to their team. Think about it, their best performers last season were De Gea (leaving, Fellaini and Young (both likely to be dropped) and Carrick (crock). They aren't going to suddenly click.
As much as we NEED at least 2 signings (competition/cover for Coq and a CF/wide forward), all the teams around us need to make signings aswell. You can make arguments for any of them. Chelsea standing still is not going to keep their fans happy, City splurging on home grown talent won't guarantee them anything. United splurging on anything that moves doesn't mean they will suddenly click. The title is there for any of those 4 teams. In the end the best manager will probably win it which is why Chelsea will be most people's favorites and between Wenger/Pellegrini/LVG it will be hard to pick an outstanding competitor to their throne.

Wenger is better than the other two managers. Also Maureen is a superb big game coach and tactician but for me he still something to prove and that is to work with a club for a significant amount of time and bring constant success. He needs to last more than three years, remember he started to fail when he spent that long at Chelsea last time. Would you say maureen was better than Fergie? Fergie only beat him once out of around 15 games, proving how much of a big game manager maureen is but in terms of longevity and building a top team over and over again (without always spending huge) he is behind Fergie and wenger and behind Fergie overall. The difference between him and wenger is not large imo
However all that aside, I think the league will be decided more on who's set of players BELIEVE they can win it the most. This is why I'm ecstatic about the Cech signing. He will make an improvement in terms of saves etc but the main thing he will do (and has done) is made the rest of the team (and fans) believe they can get the title now, due to his reputation. Expecting us to blitz the first few games of the season

The reason why we get the worry is because Wenger's usual mantra of wait and see ends up ignoring the glaring problems that may affect the team.

I always find it funny when people saying catching up when all teams start at 0 points again.
