So Holt and Halliday have had medicals and will sign for Rangers today.
A couple of decent signings I think.

It's a standard formula for development fees ffs.
United contested the payment for Telfer because we believed that the rule stated that it was for how long a player was contracted to the entity given that Telfer tupe'd over. You should actually thank us for contesting it as it added to your claim to be the same club (when it suits you).
We've also got a reputation because of our dealings with Queen's Park, who are an amateur club and therefore don't technically qualify for compensation payments. I disagreed with that though and wasn't comfortable with it, and I was pleased when we gave them money when we sold on Robertson and when we took Spittal.

Rangers can afford allan
we just refuse to pay 1.2 million for a player with 12 months left on his deal and who has admitted he's willing to see it out

this is the point if rangers coughed that amount of money up for him we would immediately be accused of wasting money and spending out of or problems.
Anything over 500k for him we shouldn't bother with

It would make no sense for Hibs to pass up on cashing in on their best asset
You're right, keeping him to gain promotion to the top league and attract bigger crowds is not worth it all
The only reason Hibernian will sell to Rangers is if they stump up over £1 million, it's fact gents, either stump up or watch him tear you a new a hole again
