John Percy (very good source) confirms what many expected that the club expect to receive official notification that Cambiasso is not renewing with Leicester.
Interestingly he notes that the reason for the lengthy delay has been the managerial situation, with a deal having previously been agreed as many have been stating. Clearly appointing Ranieri hasn't provided an incentive to renew and the owners decision may have swayed his mind, but of course we don't know
Nathan Ake from Chelsea is being lined up as a replacement on loan
Cambiasso to reject new contract

Claudio was in a no win situation, if he stayed well done np and if not then it's his fault. At the end of the day if he wanted to stay he would have signed at the end of last season and been with the team in Austria
I hear what you are saying BS but signing a new contract does not take that long.

BS its my son who saw the text and the club official said he had not signed the contract he was offered sorry fact and a promise i won't use that word again.
Nice one Foxy you own me

With all due respect Victorian, how many agent/football player transfers have you been involved in? None of us can say for definite how long it takes to sort out a contract for a player who has multiple agents and different ownership arrangements. I'll take the word of people who are close to the club over posters who based on zero football experience and with no contacts have decided what's happened (not you Nev!)
Like I said, think back to how long it took last year. We know from his agent that terms were agreed in principle ages before the club announced it. We know how long it took all parties to get that contract signed.
I don't expect people to necessarily accept what the sources close to the club are saying, but if you're going to dismiss it at least back up your statement with some insight

Didn't mean that to sound as harsh as it did, just get annoyed when posters decide something has or hasn't happened without backing it up......
It was always going to be a tough one to renew him. He needed time to mull it over, he went away and thought about it but I do believe his initial preference was to stay with us over another prem team.
Reports this morning suggest he is on the verge of joining West Ham.

This is bad news. We are weak in this critical area.
From what I've read, I take it that he hasn't signed because we now have Ranieri in place, it looks to me as if they did not have the best of relationships when last together.
As for info from people at the club which may indeed indicate he was off anyway, well they would say that wouldn't they? To distance this decision from the Pearson sacking/Ranieri appointment.
Anyway, I'm more concerned about not having an effective midfield at the moment, we need a couple of players in quickly, with the season coming soon.

If I'm honest I would be pretty disappointed if he joined West Ham. Is that really a challenge he wants?
I felt like we created a bond with Cambiasso last year that would see him avoid another Prem club.
I'd feel like he was cheating on us if he went to West Ham. I just don't understand how this would be a new challenge for him.

Probably likes the idea of living in London for a year or too
Not too fussed to be honest. Just be glad the "will he" "won't he" ( for the 2nd yr running) be done with. All so boring
We can now move on with no mention of Pearson or Cambiasso
BLISS

If he went to West Ham it would be an indictment of where we currently stand, such a snub would be a real negative from almost within the camp.

Thats sounds realistic Miami I wouldn't expect to see a single mention of either person by Leicester fans for the rest of the season

Probably right mate lol. Especially if... Or should I say when we have a bad spell of results.
