Wilshere - Amazing talent. Really hope he can stay fit for most of the season. He is world class
Welbeck - Showed flashes of brilliance but very few of them. He will surely improve.
Gabriel - Slow start to his career but he needs to step up and form a partnership with Kos.
Gibbs - Looks like he is regressing. Nacho is now ahead of him in the team. Needs to step up
Big season for these players

Of course it is but do you not think his performances can improve? His ability to take his chances? I'm far from one of the supporters to call for him to be dropped but imho he slacks off sometimes.

Of course, every player mentioned here can/must improve. Giroud is not an exception. He has mainly to work on his consistency. On his day he is brilliant, the other game he is bang average.
Yes he could score more. Compare his conversion rate with the so cold world class strikers in the PL is not too bad. If you compare his goalscoring record over last three years with Benzema's you will find out that he is not far off. And Benzema is the messiah in that regard according to some other trolls on this forum.

So what the hell was your point?!
Look, I don't actually have that much of an issue with you disputing it. I already said it was a bit of a stretch in the context of people who need to push on this season. It was your godawful attitude when you wrote it.

Another thread ruined by GT's Giroud obsession

Obsession? Not sure you know what obsession is by following me on every thread to tell me I ruined it.

My point is that you took him as one example under a false premise

Where have I heard that before...

Welbeck is rubbish, yeah.
Good squad option though, can play anywhere along the front three and will always give 100%.

I've never said Danny's rubbish. In fact I was disappointed we sold him. Not because he's going to be a star. He isn't. It's just not going to happen for him now.
More because of the type of player he is, and how he brings others into the game.
He could play in a team of megastars and be the glue that holds their attack together (see us VS Madrid in Fergie's last season when he was the best player on the park including Ronnie and Wayne for one of the legs), or play in a makeshift group of misfits and making up the numbers players, and look terrible against a team from league 1 (see us vs MK Dons last season).
Danny Welbeck has the same problem Tom Cleverley did/does. They aren't star players. They aren't loved and they aren't appreciated for what they do.
But they are the players who help make other more stardust blessed players play better. They're intelligent and create space and give everything for the team. Which is exactly what gives the geniuses the space, time and clarity they need to dominate games.
