Cheer up Ziggers!

So then, five games in and it's not been the start we were hoping for. Many first teamers out, next to no money to spend (nowt new there) some tough fixtures and we find ourselves bottom of a very competitive division.

Now, here comes the optimistic bit. We've now got a two week break before we head to Cardiff for our next League fixture. Two weeks in which first choice players such as Brian Stock, Martin Woods, Copps and Billy are going to be closer to returning to action. We've already seen Stocky and JO'C play a little and Woodsy and Billy are racing each other back to fitness. Our find of the season so far, Kyle Bennett has settled in straight away and looks to be a future favourite.

Sean now has a fortnight to prepare again and take stock (not Brian). In my humblest of opinions, I really don't think on the whole, we've been that bad. As has been said before, there are shades of our first season in this division written all over the start to our current campaign. We weren't playing badly then either, just didn't have (or didn't play) an out and out goalscorer. James Hayter has stepped up to fill Sharp's boots since he came back and it won't be that long 'til Billy is back anyhow and we will once again have a real goal threat.

We are not a bad team. We do have a good manager. If we are not further plagued by injury, we will soon begin to climb the table, maybe not to the summit, but far enough for me, and I dare say many others who are RTTD.

The only thing that concerned me was the minority wanting Sean to go because of the bad start. To all those individuals judge Sean when he gets his first Team out and not the reserves. As you say with all the problems we have had we have played well and deserved more points, not counting Derby.

Well we can cheer up, as it looks as though another Leeds favourite is in for a slagging off from our "friends" at Elland Road. St Etienne in France have apparently signed Max Gradel. The Leeds board is full of Grayson and bates out postings. There definitely seems to be something wrong over there.
