Euro 2016 team

Given the crop of players to choose from:

Hart: 100 per cent starter
Clyne: Good right back and gets forward a lot
Baines :Apart from shaw, who needs to get fit
Cahill: First choice, good reader of the game
Stones: Will be at the heart of england defence for years to come

midfielders this where england struggle, and wanted a youthful squad, but cant see past using carrick,
henderson, delph, milner should be no where near the starting 11 all are half decent players..just not good enough to help get to aleast the semi,s

Wilshere: Been great for england in last year
Barkley: Most gifted player england have and needs to kick on
Carrick: Best reader of the game and has a good passing to retain ball

Front 3
Rooney captain and has to do some think in this tourament
Sterling: pace and can go by a player and now can just concentrate on his game
The ox: Great little player needs to be used more for both club and country

Hart/Forster/McCarthy
Clyne / Walker
Smalling / Stones
Cahill / Jones
Shaw / Baines
Carrick / Henderson
Wilshere / Chamberlain
Sterling / Walcott
Rooney / Welbeck
Kane / Sturridge

Is my guess based on the right now. Not necessarily what I's go for, but that's the squad I think will take and the first choices on the left.

This is probably our best 23 right now. If Carrick ends up behind Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin in oecking order at Utd and doesn't get much game time he could possibly be replaced

I agree that Henderson still isn't ready.

I do believe however that if fit, Sturridge has to start.

That's arguable, but fair I think. Sturridge had a great season for you the season before last, but Kane has come in and had just as good a season if not better last year. Sturridge has shown he's an excellent striker on his day, but as of right now, with everyone fit I don't think he's a starter ahead of Kane. Will be interesting to see if Harry's a one season wonder or not.

I would drop rooney, but cant because of the arm band and play sick note, dont think Kane is ready yet. Unless he knocks in 2 goals next season. rooney needs a good euro,s, otherwise his last

It would be a brave call to drop Wayne Rooney. He's the player that opponents worry about when we play them at this point in time. I think it would be a mistake to drop him when he's going to be 30, the captain and the player the younger ones look to for inspiration.

I personally feel dropping Rooney during these Euro's would be impractical and couter productive, however if both Kane and Sturridge have storming seasons and Wayne's is lacklustre, then absolutely he shouldn't be immune for the axe.

Finally we have an England side that has a good reason to fail miserably at an international tournament - the players are utter shiiiiit

To think that;

------------------- James -------------------
Neville - Ferdinand - Campbell - A.Cole
------------- Carrick -- Scholes ------------
Beckham ------------------------- Joe Cole
------------------- Gerrard ------------------
------------------ w.Rooney ----------------

Robinson Carragher Terry Hargreaves Lampard Crouch Owen

Amongst other options I can't recall right now around the 2006-2008 period, and we we're so hopeless we didn't even MAKE Euro 2008 is absolutely appalling.
