North East Update 8/6/11

A 60 year old man, currently resident in the Liverpool area was mugged earlier today in the SR5 area of Sunderland.

Police believe the thieves made off with just over £20m in cash.

The suspect is believed to be in his early 50s, greying hair and is reported to go by the name of 'Steve'

This is believed to be the second similar incident involving the victim following a £35m robbery on Tyneside in January.
