Gone on loan to Fulham, would've preferred a loan to a premiership team but at least he will get a good 30-40 game under his belt, certainly worked for Coleman at Blackpool.
The question now is which centre backs will head out, Pennington was at Coventry last year and won young player of the season for them but won't be going back as Martinez want him at a championship team this year.
Galloway and Browning are a bit of a conundrum, they need experience BUT we are short on CB's and will need one or both of them to cover stones and jags should they get injured
Ideally we will sign an experienced CB to be third choice and smoothen the process of the youngsters gaining experience without being thrown too far into the deep end

Not sure which experienced CB would be willing to be backup to the club captain or best young English defender??

Vlaar would've been my choice but he's just had knee surjury and will be out for 6 months, you're right though it is a tricky position to fill

I've got to say that whenever I've seen Garbutt play, he has looked very accomplished for his age. Genuinely think he could be a very good left-back in the future. Like you, I am surprised he didn't go to a Prem club, he would have done well at a club like Bournemouth, in my view.

Why would Bournemouth help train/develop a player for the year after spending £8m on a LB?

Not kept up to date on Bournemouth's transfers. Who have they brought in?

Mings from Ipswich

So I would also guess that Fulham have made him first choice and they play a style Martinez thinks will help his development

Ah fair enough then. Still, I'm sure there's a club in the Prem he could have developed at this season...
...so that he realises his childhood dream to play for Arsenal

Well he is Fulham bound now
