The word on the street is that Everton have met the asking price for the Celtic man.
Is this in preparation for the English player record fee for Stones?
Or just Martinez and the club boosting the numbers and getting the right players in
Virgil van Dijk

Virgil is twice the player John Stones is, and i'm 100% serious about that, hoping if he leaves it's closer to £15m than £10m.

Makes me wonder. Why is the current champions and best manager in the league looking at Stones and not the Celtic man?

I'm not gonna try to convince anyone, and i'm not saying Stones isn't a good player, but I have seen both players play plenty, doubt you's have seen much of Virgil.
Virgil is the better player and will prove it throughout his career,.

bit of a strange one to call really seeing as neither have played at either clubs level.
dijk has hardly set the heather alight in Europe, in fact I have yet to see him have a stand out dominant performance.
stones is also a young lad with a lot to learn.

I don't watch much SPL,but you don't have to be very special to standout in that league, the same cannot be said about the English prem.

can I just throw in that I have seen players come to Scotland from England and stand out, but I have also saw players coming from Scotland to England and standing out more.

Incorrect, Stones played for Barnsley so has experience at that level. Sure he has lots to learn, but even so he is standing out in one of the most demanding leagues in the world against some of the planets top talent.
The other lad plays in a one team league

no, not incorrect, its still a different league.
dijk has also played champions league football

But thats not the point you stated "neither have played at either clubs level"
Well Stones played at Barnsley, so he has played at Celtic level

do Barnsley play in their league and European football?
It never ceases to amaze me when a supporter of an English club runs down Scottish football, it's not a great league but to say its on par with Barnsley when you don't regularly watch it is ridiculous.
to step up and play champs league football when playing in the SPL shows character.

I played many times in leagues that were above my level in a Saturday afternoon. I showe character, but what I really needed was talent to match it....Stines has that and more.
