Welcome to a new season of the prediction league
I hope all the original players will continue and it'll be great if anyone else wants to try there luck for the new season,as this is open to all members of Ja606.
Just add your name in the comments section if you are interested in playing.
The predictions and fixtures will be posted by Thursday morning
OK this seasons prediction league will basically be the same as previous seasons, with one difference,I have scrapped the play offs.
How to play
I will post 10 fixtures and you just pick which team you think will win,and predict the score.
Example
Nottingham Forest 2 - Blackpool 0
Derby 0 - Rotherham 0
Ipswich 0 - Fulham 2
I will award one point for predicting the correct result and 3 points for a ccorrect prediction and score.
You will be playing against one of you fellow predictors each week and who ever gets the higher score, wins 3 points, draw 1 point and obviously 0 points for a loss. These will be the points that determine league positions and your points scored each round will be like goal difference.
Once all players are signed up,I'll create the fixture list,I'll also remind you of next opponent when posting that weeks scores.
Fixture list
http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/318241
So say player 1 beats player 2 with a score of 10 - 7,the table will look like
Player - win - draw - loss - points for - against - Total
Player 1. - 1. - 0. - 0. - 10. - 7. - 3
Player 2. - 0. - 0. - 1. - 7. - 10. - 0
Depending on the number of players signed up will determine how many rounds we'll play.
Ok we'll be playing 51 rounds,so you play each opponent three times over the season.
Tied positions in the league will be decided by
1st.Goal for
then,Goal differance
and if it's still not decided,Head to head record (at the end of the season)
This is open to all members of JA 606.( I'd of added Wolves since Pundit played last season and other teams, but I don't know how to add this to more than two boards)If we end up with an odd number of players I will add a Ja 606 team to even the fixtures.
If you have to miss a week for some reason,I will automatically put you down for all home wins only, you will not be eligible to earn any 3pt perfect scores though. If a Ja 606 team has to created for numbers, that is how that score will be played each week.
Any questions please feel free to ask and good luck.
Sign ups are closed,so we have 18 players, good luck everyone

Hey Payne, you didn't think that I wouldn't keep overseeing the competition which I created? (....after Alabama )
Anyway you did a great job last year and were a worthy successor to the king, so I look forward again to this year
As always my success normally hinges on how Forest do for the season
Plus Rev, stop being scared of coming last and play the game

Plus I always like how we have about 30 people to start with and then always have the same 10 people at the end of the season
Always happens like that.

Sorry for dropping out midway through last season
Becoming a Dad kind of took up more of my time than I thought it would! Hope you have a successful prediction league this time round though
