Having played in the french league of course I have not seen the three of them in any competitive matches.

What I think is exciting is that Sherwood seems to be looking at a different type of player than we have had in previous seasons.

I think under the previous regimes we would have been in the market for Lambert, Huddlestone and others of that type. Good players but have been as good as they are going to get.

Benteke and Delph are big losses, but he seems to want players that have something to prove. It appears he has said well this lot haven't got us anywhere the last few years, so we are starting again.

I am particularly pleased we have signed Amavi and Gestede.

I don't know much about the two French midfielders, but Gueye has looked good in pre-season.

Its a risk, but one well worth taking.

I personally wouldn't sign Adebayor.

Let's be honest it had to decking change as we been sheite for ages, this overhaul is exactly what we needed. Even losing Benteke yeah a huge liss but we relied on him too much imo

Dead nervous; we could fall flat on our faces for the first few games. It's almost like we're a promoted team.

But we're not a promoted team. Sherwood has retained the best players from last year except Benteke and Delph, and the new signings are just what's needed. I think a lot of work will have been done behind the scenes which we haven't really seen in the pre-season matches.

Nervous are on edge but logic says we should do pretty well. If we scrape top half then I'll be happy with that. For this year. Plus some good cup runs.

I'm amazed to see Timmy's management skill improve so dramaticaly without a ball being kicked in anger.

If the pre-season was longer then Tim could win the CL.
