it is a weird transfer window, you just seem to be picking random player and chucking money at them hoping one might say yes, but they must have plans for whos next i guess

Not faulting the clubs ambition but that has to be tempered with actually bringing someone in. Teams that stay in this division have usually done so by building sustainably and I'd rather see us do that than missing out on some realistic targets because we're wasting time chasing players who have openly said they don't want to be here.
I'm just concerned that like last summer, we will start the season short again.

I'm sure all this will be forgotten in a few weeks, a couple of signings in, a few early wins and the Premiership is a breeze.

Huth, Fuchs, Okazaki, Kante and Benalaoune are all decent players but we're just not quite at the stage to sign players of a higher calibre but I commend the club for trying. It proves their ambition of wanting to make us into a top 10 club chasing European football, we're just trying to run before we can walk.
I've no doubt we'll sign at least one more (after Kante and Benalaoune) before the window closes and I pereonally will be very happy with our business this summer.

At least we're being turned down by a better quality of player these days. It's not that long ago that we were being turned down by Craig McKail Smith!

Isn't the Premiership a rugby competition?

Haha, I thought Wasi looked confused sometimes which game he was playing.

Joby
TB, I bet there are a few egg chasers who would be needing a rapid change of shorts if they saw Wasi lining up to tackle them...
Agree that the ambition is a good thing, I 'd just prefer it to be tempered with a bit of pragmatism – someone who knows the PL. Flamini a really good shout, would the prof sell him?
