The Posh repeat last season's start with an away game at Rochdale. Hopefully, they will also repeat the 1-0 win.
David Collison will be an asset, and so hopefully will prove to be Joe Gormley, particularly if he repeats his goal tally for Cliftonville last season.
I was left disappointed by our display against Cambridge pre-season, which echoed some of our displays of last season. Cambridge proved to be tough opposition, though, so that match will hopefully have stood us in good stead for the Rochdale game by banishing complacency, whilst having taught us not to play too deeply, and the need for accurate passing up the field to our front men.
A draw would be an adequate result - 1-0 a good one.
Here's to a good first result, and season!

Good luck tomorrow and for the rest of the season, Don. I'm pretty sure you'll stay up, and hope we join you next season
Those games against big-name teams and the increased home attendances will be exciting.

Hi Don - slip, or what! I equated Don with Dons, the MK variety. Ignore my previous message, Of course, you'll stay up and also could be challenging for promotion. Hopefully, your Liverpool loanees will perform well.

A 2-0 defeat - what a bummer! One I listened to on the radio - a poor first half and no second-half goals: similar to the Cambridge game. Why didn't Collison start, and why can't Maddison play the way he started last season? Maybe it's a bit early, but the jury very much remains out on our manager, who talks the talk but can't seem to walk the walk: and fails to convince.

A poor result but hard at this stage to make any long term conclusions from it.
We do seem to struggle to create chances with Robertson at the helm though. His 4-4-2 just doesn't seem to be working.

Thorney, I must confess I was a little confused! Disappointing result for you. I was very surprised by ours, we could have been out of it by half time but that's football. Great result for MKD.

Morning TP- good weekend? remember the old adage, the league doesnt lie!!!! seriously , far too early to judge any team , but the fact that you cant score, even in friendlies , must be a worry.
New manager by september? Pearsons free!!!!!

Hi TF. We may need that new manager (but will pass on Pearson). However, we beat Rochdale last season and didn't do well, so losing against them this time round may prove to be a good thing (lulling others [including the Foxes, in the FA Cup?] into a false sense of security ...). Winning the first game of the season isn't everything it's cut out to be
