If Ajax would contemplate selling Vertonghen for anything like £9-12m then I say it was gross incompetence on Wenger's part that he hasn't gone in for him.

That's why the boy is fed up, it has been 2 years of speculation as far as the Belgium is concerned. We could have signed him last January if we had made a bid.

We should have signed M'Vila before he signed a new contract in May too.
