Best XI in living memory

Schmeichel
Parker
Irwin
Bruce
Pallister
Keane
Ince
Giggs
Cantona
Kanchekskis
Hughes

United have had better players in (almost) every position, but as a combined unit, this is the Best Team I've ever seen, better than Liverpool late 80's, better than Arsenal's ''invincibles', better than Mourinho's Chelsea MKI

Could be wrong of course, and am open to debate.

Oh and Portsmouth could stop them, god knows how that happened Could very much have been a treble that year

The United 2007/2008 team would outmuscle any other great United teams.

---------------------------------------

Not the 1993/94 double team it wouldn't.

I don't mean in terms of whose the hardest and toughest, I mean in terms of pace, flair, power, technique, that group of players would have too much for any other United teams.

Invent an imaginary 10 team league consisting of the top 10 United teams, the 2007/2008 team might not necessarily win every game, but it'd finish 1st.

This team was class. just a shame Barcelona were so facking good otherwise they would have won 3 champions leagues. IMO best United defence ever. Shame about the lack of an established RB though.

The title has somewhat of a double meaning. Wish posters would be more precise with their headings.

As much as I loved the team in the OP, I think the treble winning team was better, especially defensively.

For me Bruce and Pally were phenomenal in the league but their shortcomings were more exposed in Europe. I also think that Nev was far better than Parker but I know that not everyone would agree.

Also, the Arsenal team that we had to beat in order to complete the treble was far superior to the Villa, Norwich, Leeds and Blackburn sides that our 92-94 team competed with. Wenger raised the bar imo. Then Jose eventually raised it again but I don't think that the 2008 team was as good as the 1999 one. In fact, take Ronaldo out of the 2008 team and that team might not have won anything. We were not so reliant on any one player in '99.
