Where are your balls?

This board has transformed into a total bitchfest just lately.

We haven't even kicked a ball and already we have folks crying saying "we won't mount a title challenge waaahh waaahh waaahhh", "We will never catch Chelsea" - no mate, we all start at 0 points, they don't roll over from the season previous.

Football is so unpredictable and there are so many factors that come into play WHEN the season gets under way, so why write it off before its even started? I don't understand the logic.

I just feel that some 'fans' really find supporting Man Utd a chore.

I've been incredibly spoilt, being born in '91 it goes without saying that it's been a very pleasurable upbringing , so naturally when a seismic change like Ferguson happens, our success on the pitch has decreased, but in my view you should take the rough with the smooth. It would be very monotonous if we won the league EVERY season and when we do taste some success again, it will be all the more sweeter.

We have bought four new players, why is there little excitement at how they might fare from some supporters? I've seen Madrid We Win write Memphis off already. I understand people have reservations, but he is joining us on the back of a brilliant season at PSV, he performed at the WC2014 and is one of the most promising attackers in the world.

Not every galactico is going to be a success, and I'd say it's a blueprint that has generally not served us well. I don't like the 'United Way' romanticism because how we have operated was neither originated or exclusive to us, but I do take pride in the fact we develop our own and look to sign hungry players with potential. That is the way we should do our business in my view and is the model that will work the best going forward.

If we sign Pedro and a good replacement for De Gea (him not starting tomorrow is surely a massive indicator he will be leaving) then I will be very content at our business.

Darmian: One of the best right backs currently, has had two very solid seasons at Torino and was linked with Bayern too. Two footed, versatile and most importantly wants to be here.

Memphis: A confident and exciting player. Bundles of strength, pace and set piece ability. He knows where the net is and the fact he asked for the #7 shirt shows the kid has courage.

Schneiderlin: A very shrewd signing, capable of being the sitting mid or box to box. Has 'done his time' at Southampton where he has been consistently performing to high standards. Wanted to progress at a CL club so will be itching to prove his worth and cement a place in the France team regularly.

Schweinsteiger: Arguably his best days behind him, he still has plenty to offer in my opinion. A huge character we've been lacking, and well versed in Van Gaal's methods. If used correctly he could be an important player.

There's plenty to be positive about at the minute, so chill out, relax, have a beer and see what happens.

I'm looking forward to the game tomorrow, it's a shame I'm working but got a good feeling about it.

How bitter were all the pundits last season, we dominated about 88 minutes of that game

The opening of Alan Shearer's analysis said we needed to bring 3 world class players in to get top 4 let alone challenge for the title

When did possession become more important than winning?

Say My Name I think Swansea kicked our players more then they passed it that game but Dean didn't whistle. At one stage we had like 4 players down by mistimed challenge after mistimed challenges by swansea player but ref kept play on until we had no players to pass to Corrupt Dean won't be reffing tomorrow at least.

One other thing we had 14 shots to Swansea 5 and 4 corners to swansea 0. Not really suprising as they barely went pass there own box except rare counter attack. I think they only went passed the half way line once in 2nd half and they scored

Mike Dean was also the ref of this game and his bias cost us the fa cup chance under Moyes then webb took away our top 4 hopes against tottenham and Sunderland league cup shocking refereeing cost us final place. Thats why SAF is better then Moyes and LVG he knew his side had to be so good to win as refs/linesmen always cheat us. Did you know Man Utd scored 95 goals in 08-09 season in premierleague but only 68 counted?

Yeah Marlo, you a soldier young'un...
Props to your Post. Never a truer word said.
Sadly it's the culture of today.. Everything has to be Now now now.. And even then that's not good enough.

But I can't lay all the blame on the Fans, cos the Media has to have a story to tell, week in week out.
This fuels the haters and rivals banter/wind ups.
For me UTD don't have to winning trophy a every year.. But progression is a must... Always.
UTD never stand still. I like what LvG is doing, many can't wait for the game...
Utd 4 life!!!!

I didn't read the article since the question was in the title. I got a football in the garage and a basket ball in the car. It's not mine but.. since its owner didn't pick it up its as good as mine. Have some tennis balls in the house.
