A predictably woeful performance due to continuing to persist with an unnecessary change to a 4-2-3-1 shape with a squad much better suited to the 4-1-2-3 (4-1-4-1) formation adopted last season.
For me it's still plainly obvious that the way to go is:

In all seriousness though, you can't have been impressed with yesterday's performance.
1 shot on target all afternoon, didn't even dominate the game from a possession point of view, nothing to really justify the victory (Overall Spurs had the better opportunities).
The change of formation is a disaster waiting to happen (to add insult to injury the choice of personnel in the incorrect shape is also wrong).

@AlwaysUnited we looked great last season at times but never got the 3 points like tottenham away. Anyway the fact is we got a goal and then tried to kill the game or be it the late flurry is predictable when a team is chasing and you have a one goal lead. If Mata and Young took there chance then we could have been more comfortable.
Chelsea used to win like that last season a lot but no one seemed to care as it was Chelsea. We showed we can grind it out with new personnel. I rather us defend deep then go all out for 2nd then concede and drop points.

Spurs were poor for most of the game, i think United could have got a similar level of dominance and result as the corresponding fixture last season had LVG kept last season's shape.
The fact that United couldn't even control possession or territory on Saturday should set off the alarm bells.
