Same Mistakes

I thought after the run of great form in the latter part of last season and a great preseason, we would have learned some crucial mistakes.

1) Pace is crucial. we went from Walcott, Ox, and Bellerin to just Ox. We looked so sluggish and seemed to have the mentality that we only had to show up to win. Foolish.

2) As much as I hate injuries to our players, one of Wilshere or Ramsay being out at a particular time is a blessing in disguise as it removes the temptation to play them in the same team...or so I thought. Wenger did that 4-1-4-1 last season and pushed Ozil left. Today, he took what had formed a formidable midfield pairing in Cazorla and Coquelin and shunted Cazorla to the left. Why? In order to fit in Ramsay. We cannot play them all in the same team. We either play Ramsay/Coq, Coq, Cazorla or if you want to fit both in, cazorla takes Ozil's spot and Ozil misses out. And Walcott not starting...that did my head in.

My ideal MF/FW today would have been Coq/Cazorla, Ozil, Ox and Theo with Giroud up top. When Sanchez is back and we want to experiment, then Theo and Giroud can interchange. But enough with the experimenting in midfield. We stumbled onto a great midfield pairing last season...why break it up?
