Sterling Performance

Evening all. Managed to catch the City game at the airport lounge. Just about to get on a long flight to Hong Kong for some business related matters. I have seen some comments tonight that have upset and shocked me from bitter Liverpool fans, absolutely attacking Sterling for his performance. To me this is nothing more than a compliment and paranoia because the young lad played really well. He has what seems to be a great understanding with Kolarov down the left and made some fantastic runs off the ball. Yes he was extremely unlucky not to score but goals will come when he's fully fit. Boarding the plane in about 10 minutes so speak soon guys. That's all for now.

The airport lounge being his mums basement where he keeps his model aeroplanes

Silva was immense tonight. A big reason that was how many players Sterling was taking away from the ball.

He looked a bit nervy on the ball but did fine, as did all of them.

Big step up from previous seasons where we've dropped points in fixtures just like this. If DeBruyne was watching he must be wondering how he'll get into the team if they play like this.

I don't think he played really well but certainly an alright performance for a debut. Frankly a player at that age who doesn't look out of place in this City side is enough alone to suggest he played well enough. Should have scored however. Silva was outstanding.

I agree. He wasn't one of the better players, but he did things that we lacked last season and brought another dimension to our game. I like the way he tracks back and fills in when we don't have the ball, but what's impressive, as mentioned, is how quickly he can turn defence into attack and take defenders with him, which we lacked last season.

Navas is equally as quick, but his final ball and decision making is awful. Sterling seems to be able to play one-two's and get behind defences, something Navas, at 29, could learn a thing or two from Sterling.

He should have scored, a slight, that has plagued his whole career (all 3 years of it!!), but we've seen him take chances like in pre-season, and we've also seen Aguero and Silva miss easier chances, so I'm not worried or concerned if he only scored 8-10 goals this season, as long as his inclusion creates space and chances for our other players and wins us the league, £44m will seem like a bargain.

God knows what he'll be worth IF he was to net 15-20 goals this season!!
