I think you're taking this a bit too seriously.

A question was asked about how Neville could know and I said that he had close ties to the club.

It could be that he is just speculating.

But if you think that Giggs and Red Nev don't know about United then that's unrealistic.

And I doubt Giggs would be breaking any kind of confidentiality if he says to Nev: "we should have offered him a contract earlier".

My next post will be about DDG's contract.

Reading back over the Neville article it sou nds like he is blaming Moyes.

Of course I don't know when negotiations began, but from the way his agent is speaking in Feb this year, it seems like contract negotiations have been ongoing.

We can only speculate.

However, if you offer a player a new contract with 3 years to go, they will be more inclined to sign and if they don't, you have time to convince them or even sell them.

Yawn. Don't flatter yourself...People always play this card when they lose an argument with me. I'm just bored waiting for a cab, not taking anything seriously at all. This is just what people say to me when they lose...

The other favourite is "calm down" which roughly translated means "I have nothing to say so I'll try to shift the focus on to your personality instead of the debate".

Maybe with Moyes ddg did not want to sign.
Then real start sniffing.
Then lvg joins.
De gea likes the way the team is shaping but has already began the merry go round with Madrid.
Now he is stuck in between.

No, because I wrote a few paragraphs afterwards clearly explaining myself.

I don't think its particularly healthy to be giving players big bumper contracts with huge signing on fees and pay rises every 2 years. Just to 'hold the assets'.

It wasn't up to Moyes to deal with player contracts. He's blameless there. Maybe we left it too late to extend his deal, maybe we didn't. At the end of the day he chose not to extend and does want to go to Real, without question. In which case, he shouldn't be selected

I'm not sure what Neville has said however my view on this is that DDG should have sounded out about a new contract 2 years ago. Had he indicated he wouldn't sign a new one he should have been replaced way before now.
