Is this quite typical? At inter he had quaresma balotelli etoo muntari and seems to be repeating the same tactic at Chelsea , Willian ramires moses etoo (again) and finally cuadrado.
What do they have in common? Speed and strength. I write this because am baffled about why mourinho paid so much for cuadrado when his stats show at Fiorentina weren't that impressive. On paper he has speed and dribbling, so would fit in the typical mourinho winger template, but was there something else? Do you think he will persist and try to include him in the team more often this season?
Mourinho choice of wingers

He got rid of talented players like KDB and Schürrle because he didn't feel they worked hard enough or contributed enough defensively.
Instead prefers to use the likes of Ramires and Cuadrado who don't contribute much in the final third but run around a lot.
He's gone too far in that respect. Willian and Oscar already do a lot of running around and Hazard is the only flair winger.
I'm hoping Cuadrado will be out the door soon since he's clearly not good enough. Mou knows signing him was a mistake.
I know he hasn't played a huge number of games but sometimes it's not worth persisting when there's no sign of improvement. Utd got rid of Moyes early and probably should've done so even earlier.

Schurrle worked hard but he just wasn't consistent enough with his performances.
De Bruyne didn't want to fight for his spot.
Cuadrado has started like 5 games. But like Salah he won't be given an opportunity.

Eto'o was brought in as a striker, not a winger at Chelsea and did a damn good job given the circumstances.
Costa must replicate the chemistry Eto'o had with Hazard on the pitch and fine-tune his touches while he's at it.
