We all got the start we asked for. 2 goals in 10 minutes and nearly got a 3rd a few minutes after, which I think is a massive part of the game. We score that, I think that kills the game completely.
What was frustrating to see is that after the second goal, we started to get really sloppy in terms of possession. Lots of players made simple passes difficult and even with nobody around them, gave the ball away cheaply, even Biton
Malmo are a decent team, and that is it. Caused us a few problems, but most of those were down to our own mental errors rather than them causing us problems. Our corner that lead to their first goal, we were outnumbered it seemed 3-2 at the back. That should never be happening. Even then, I thought Brown could have done much better with the ball rather than just headering it to one of their players.
It has to be said, Berget was probably their best player. Thought he looked really good at times and the two goals to top it off.
Don't know why Johansen needs to act the way he did before the corner got taken. The nerves we're already there, that just caused a bigger distraction and the delay to the corner coming in doesn't help imo.
Our fans need to start being realistic. Yeah, them scoring with the last kick of the ball is frustrating, but we won last night and have the advantage going into the second leg. We don't have a right to be in the Champions League. Them booing at the end of the game was frustrating to see. Even throughout the game, one bad pass and you hear the groans coming out. That is literally the exact opposite of what the team needs, especially with big games in Europe.
The second leg should be an interesting one, but I'm confident we will get through. Under Ronny, our away performances have gotten better, and we have more than enough to cause them problems. It will be tough though as they seem to be a very good home team, so we will see.

On Europa league money we're going to have to make do with "prospects" if we sign any more defenders apart from VVD replacement. That's even more scheidt than Izzy.
I'm wondering what agreements are in place for players to sign if we made the CL group stages cos.....like I said I don't see it happening. A 2 goal defeat next week.
Course if we were to somehow get through I will happily come on here next Wednesday and fess up. Malmo will be short price at the bookies and they're not usually wrong.

We will go through, we are in the driving seat.

Bit late in the day but I'll add my two cents worth (being in Boston at the moment of felt like the appropriate metaphor). Wouldn't boo at the end of any game, not clapping might be the extent of my disapproval, but I can't help but groan at a sloppy pass (brown, izzy take a bow) or a daft challenge, it's the natural reaction to seeing a professional doing something badly.
