Twitter and other things...

Hi all,

I used to use the bbc 606, and have been following this since it has formed, but only today have I made an account.
I generally agree with a lot of you with your opinions, but recently a few things have bugged me and I've needed to make an account to put my point accross.
But to start with, during this summers transfer window, I have made myself a twitter account and I'm following several people. But I was wondering who you guys would reccommend to follow. I find that Guillem Balague is the best to follow, and I wonder if there is anyone else I should take a look at.

Good to have the season up and running, hope to see a nice win at sunderland integrating the youth. You're all probably be sick of seeing peoples line-ups who are generally all the same, but I agree with the majority that Sturridge should 100% be our right winger, McEachran should be given a chance over Lamps - though I am very disappointed with a lot of the criticism for Frank, he is IMO the best player chelsea have ever had, overtaking Zola, he deserves more respect, however poor/mediocre his performances have been. I also still believe he has a key part to play, but McEachran does too - it just depends on the opposition.
Looking forward to plenty of debating in months and years to come!
Carefree,
George

Thanks Ivanovic, great minds think alike
The reason I want Bertranrd to start is because I've noticed Cole being increasingly lacklustre and average in the past 6-8 months. I think we should install competition into the squad - as good as Cole has been he's had none since Bridge left. Because I think Bertrands ready for the team I would start him, let Cile know he has to be on his toes. Haha i think Mikel gets unfair stick. I would drop him next match but I'm a fan of his

6-8 months? He just won our players player award - we obviously have a very poorly opinionated set of players haha! I wouldn't object to playing Bertrand over Cole for a couple of games, but I'm happy if we keep Cole playing there
I'm all for squad competition and I actually agree with you on the Mikel front, maybe he will think he's got an easy run in the side now the bison is out, so let him know he's not guaranteed the place by playing Romeu.. or even McEachran. As much as I despaired when Carlo played him in the deep role, I want him to show AVB what he can do in the prem.. because to me he seems to stand out more in bigger games. I dont know whether thats because when I watch the reserves I try and look evenly at all our youngsters and when he's in the first team I concentrate solely on him. Either that or he thrives playing with quality players around him. Maybe a combination, but almost certainly the latter. Plus I'm not sure that a holding midfielder will be needed as much against Sunderland, maybe we could let Ramires, Frank and Josh sort it out with themselves, two go forward one stays back, doesn't matter who, as long as one holds?
Just as long as players know they have to earn their place in the side. Look what happened when we bought Zhirkov, Malouda played in the form of his life. Competition is key, so i suppose I agree with you

Thats what I'm saying, if it means playing him in a holding position FOR NOW then I'm fine if thats how he's going to get game time. But I'd much rather see him in the advanced role that he himself says he prefers, as he has so much more to his game than just being a defensive midfielder. I feel it would hold him back to play him as a holding midfielder, and while Carlo saw him as Chelsea's answer to Pirlo, I just feel as though hes got a lot more to his game. Holding midfielders are very restricted, and often only distribute. Now while Josh's passing ability is fantastic, he also is fantastic at dribbling and is a decent finisher, he's very good in the final third. I wouldn't mind him playing a few games there but I dont want that to hold him back in the long term if you know what I mean? But in the short term playing him anywhere will only be good for him. It was just that Carlo played him deep every time he gave him a chance and he actually said that he feels he'd make a good holding midfielder. Just my opinion though, if you feel as though he could suit that position then fair enough
