I think this is our main problem, Lloris is our captain, Vertonghen is our vice captain, neither are very vocal on the pitch, the latter doesn't derserve to start anymore, I was fooled into thinking Toby would bring the best out of him but he just seems very soft. Hopefully Wimmer and Dier get a chance to form a partnership in the Europa league and one of them will put pressure on Jan and he'll up his game.
I look at the team we fielded yesterday and all I see is a bunch of pretty boys, no real characters (except maybe Dier and Dembele) who get stuck in and are occasionally dirty. Bentaleb had a bad game against United but I want to see him back in the team, the same goes for Rose and plus Alli deserves his chance.
Lastly, the lack of width is irritating to watch, I hate seeing us play with two inverted wingers, it just doesn't work for us, Chadli is fine on the left because he can put crosses in with both feet but our right side is missing that, it's been a problem ever since Lennon stopped playing well. Will Njie solve this problem? Who knows, all I know is the only time I saw Lamela play really well was against Qpr when he started on the left, the same goes for Townsend for England, if neither have space to beat a man and put a ball in the box, then they might as well not be on the pitch, the odd goal from cutting in isn't enough.
I was gonna post what out next line up should be but I have no idea what our strongest 11 is, we're crying out for a couple signings.

With the obvious lack of pace, you have to add me Lennon has done something atrocious to be frozen out of the squad. Even when he's playing poorly he offers something .. and is very good at covering the right back.
Maybe he surprise bummed Levy?

Add lack of pace to what Ledley listed and you have serious problems. Swansea, Stoke and Palace are gonna put serious pressure on us in my opinion.

Chronic...........................................Whilst I have liked Verthongen, I must admit that he has dropped a bit in the last two years,
I would have liked to see him in a DM role & Dier back in the back four just to see how it would look.
However, now I think he is just coasting & in my opinion was at fault for their goal, allowing Mahrez to go inside and score. Always push an attacker on to the most difficult route to goal I was always led to believe!
