stamina - you may want to check how many times he was subbed / introduced as a sub last season. Hardly ever chip in with 90 mins of football, which is probably just as well tbh

cult figure because he gets away with constant sub standard performances in terms of fans getting on his back unlike other, more junior players

What's wrong with his technique?

that is one of his main qualities. Are you just upset because there arent as many aritcles asking for him to be shipped out. I would happily see the back of Mason if he hadn't just moved from the academy. Championship player at best, another Jay Spearing.

Fact is we haven't had anyone with the slightest bit of quality since Modric in that position, we haven't identified anyone who can bring that kind of skill to the team, so why slag of and ship out the current crop.

Mason isn't Championship quality

Dembele seems to be getting a lot of stick on here when IMO there are a number of other players who deserve critism before him.

Fair enough..his passing is rubbish but he gets stuck in, very difficult to disposess, beats the first man every time.

If we get someone better in then i have no problem dropping him but as it stands he is better than the options we have right now.

Talk about double standards in that last post. Upset to see Dembele, a £15m international signing getting a bit of stick, then proceeding to slate the guy who deservedly usurped him from CM who has busted his balls for Spurs

Mason may not be a world beater but he gives a hell of a lot more industry to our side than Dembele who seems more interested in playing for the camera, only with zero end product. If he possessed all this technique, what's stopping him from threading a few dangerous balls through to Kane every once in a while? Or making dangerous runs himself as the attacking midfielder he pretends to be of late?

Let's not forget he is probably on twice as much as Mason or Bentaleb for that matter, and is approaching 29 years of age.

He is exactly the sort of player which makes us a distinctly average side, with no backbone, mental strength and resolve to grind out results. He is more interested in "shielding the ball" with his eyes firmly on the floor, ignoring player movement around him, until the easy option comes along.

Complete nonsense, he is levels above Mason in terms of ability. What has Mason done since his goal against Sheffield United on his debut, absolutely nothing. He's only in the team because he didn't come with a price tag, and so its a free bet, a player from the academy.

I would much rather keep Dembele, he is a absolute class player, and does his job well. He isn't there to be threading balls like Xavi, he never did it at Fulham, and that's not why we bought him.

What does 'no backbone' even mean? a nice sounding phrase to disguise your lack of knowledge. You seem to think just because Mason busts his balls that he should be ahead in the pecking order.

Sell Dembele and he'll go and prove his class at another club. Fact is if he came about against Mason in a match there's only one winner.

Mason is only in the team because he didn't come with a price tag? That makes about much sense as your description of Dembele being an absolute class player.
