Ancient Aliens: Chariots of the Gods

We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars, now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.

I do love all this sort of stuff. I quite like the thought that maybe we're the aliens on this planet. None of us can ever really know, but there's some interesting (and downright wacky!) theories out there.

Don't get your hopes up...Von Daniken (the author) is a total twonk. I have read his book and, while he does make some interesting points and ask some intriguing questions, he draws the most absurd and illogical conclusions.

I have also seen him talking on Ancient Aliens and he is even worse on that. Total crackpot.

Graham Hancock is the same unfortunately.

They also found a map that shows Antarctica coastline without ice. This was discovered a couple of hundred years ago.

The Piri Reis maps were actually compiled in 1513 (by...erm...Piri Reis) but obviously they are thought to be based on much older maps that were compiled when Antarctica was free of ice...thousands of years ago.
