Decent point

Milner was immense today considering he had two guys who ran out of legs after 60 mins in Can and Lucas followed by an 18 year old kid. Never stopped running.

Skrtel was good tonight, saved us a couple of times.
But there were times where he was a yard behind the rest of the defence and played them onside, case in point the Ramsey 'offside' goal. Hopefully it will come as the team gels.

I thought the defence were really switched on as Arsenal are so effective in the last third

Ibe was extremely disappointing and we lost the impetus when he came on

Unless we are signing someone Lucks should be going nowhere. What would we have done today without him? I thought everyone was very good today and if Lucks goes we need another DM or deep lying midfielder or at least another box to box.
Allen being injured is somehow a blessing because Rodgers would have played him I think.

Bar Ibe's disappointing cameo I thought we did well and certainly deserved a point.

The back four were excellent and I feel the new coaching staff have helped address the dilly dally phannying at the back, between the defence and Mig. Having Benteke as an out ball has helped to in that regard.

Milner has been an astute signing and Lovren looks a lot more solid having a more naturally defensive player at left back.

I have been a little concerned about Ibe's form. He's trying to do much when he has the ball and is more often than not gifting the opposition the ball. Being greedy has always been a negative trait with him. Both Skrtel & Can gave him a well deserved b'llocking during the game for cheaply giving the ball away. He has great ability so hopefully he will learn.

Ibe was poor when he came on and you could see quite a few of the players getting on his back.

Ibe is still very young. He doesn't have to progress as fast as Sterling did. On the whole he's been decent for a lad of his age in a general sense. Certainly has a lot to work on though. Firmino and Coutinho should be ahead of him but besides those two he should get enough game time to develop without too much pressure.

Very good point, I'm happy with that. First half showed plenty of evidence that our attacking play is improving.

With regards Ibe, yes he has struggled, but I think that is down to putting pressure on himself and overthinking it. When everyone is fit our front three will be Sturridge Benteke Firmino, so I suspect Ibe will drop down to the bench and play in EL C1 games.
