Typical. We need an out and out striker we get something no better than what we have!!

Very frustrating

Wouldn't surprise me if Wenger went for someone like him. Ends up going for a unknown cheaper option who wouldn't improve us, bit like the welbeck signing.

This guy may be good. But if we can't get a top class forward I'd much rather we spend the money on a good DM and CB instead.

Like I said: No better than what we have. I understand there are only a handful of world class strikers out there and their clubs don't have to sell them but surely we should be doing everything in our power to tempt those players to coming and theirs clubs into selling them. We can't expect to win the league with a giroud or Walcott (who needs to accept he is a winger not a striker) we're never going to win the league at this rate

If we were willing to bid whatever we did for Suarez, and tempt him, then why don't we go for someone else for the same sort of price. Time and time again it's shown that we need a goal scorer. I like Giroud but he won't get 25+ like we need.

It's not even just that he won't get that, it's performances like West Ham and Liverpool. Just never turns up when we are playing rubbish.

People need to get over the "over-spending" risk too. So what if we over pay for a decent if not world class striker? It's not our money, it will just sit in the bank if we don't spend it.

Suspect it will be what someone above says : a striker we didn't really see coming but hopefully a half decent one ala Eduardo.

Eduardo had a really good goal scoring record before coming here. Better than this kokorin guy.

I just hope if there is no good strikers available then Wenger looks for alternative solutions. Like securing up the midfield and defence. At least then we'd concede less. Plus if we had a really good solid base, we could play our more attacking players together, while freeing up likes of cazorla from defensive duties. Could be a good solution to not having a top class forward.

I just meant about that sort of level of reputation i.e. not an unknown, but not a top level striker either.
