Next he'll be telling us that Jordan³ doesn't properly mathematically represent 3 Jordan's as the cube root of 3 is about 1.44, and having 1.44 Jordan's is nonsense

To be fair, there was a time when we only had 0.44 Jays in the squad. Wee Jay Spearing was an understatement.

Seriously though, I think Rossiter's lack of pace will hold him back. Its not the be all and end all, but you have to be an exceptional player to reach the top if you're slow. Think Pirlo, Hammann and Alonso.

It's not pace that's got him this far so there is Defford something else there. Even Stevie was no Usain Bolt.

I dunno. Stevie was like Emre Can. Not much acceleration, but an impressive top speed.

This isn't to say I wasn't impressed with Rossiter. Did very well and gave us a bit of energy when the others began to tire. However, be it the occasion, or his athletic abilities, but it did look like he was running through treacle at times.

Will definitely be interesting to see how he develops physically.

He's literally grown about five inches in the last few years. He should fill out as well.
