Given Rafa's clear affection for Liverpool I find it hard to believe that someone at the club wouldn't have had a word in his ear and asked about the player and his qualities.

I'd have thought that if we'd been given a glowing report then £12m would have been easily affordable.

The recent stories of Lucas being allowed to move and then the promotion of Rossiter does make you wonder whether BR feels Rossiter is ready to make the step up.

i reckon we wanted illar and it was between us or spurs, as a result we offered lucas around as he would no longer be needed..

when sociedad came in illar jumped at the chance so we just decided to hold on to lucas.

i still cant see him getting much game time other than covering injuries.

I assume you mean lucas with this? If so i agree, i think he might come into the big away games aswell, though i think if everyone fit he might just be on the bench
