Don't know about everyone else but these 2 transfers seem polar opposites to me in the way they are being handled by the media and sky in particular.
Stones looks nailed on- he wants the move, Everton are actively looking for replacements and negotiating with Barnsley to drop his sell on fee. His odds to join with betting companies is constantly shortening too.
Pogba on the other hand has had major coverage with the tabloids but little through sky. His odds to join through the likes of Ladbrokes and Bet Victor are shortening- making it seem more likely, whilst sky bets odds are actually going up, indicating that they feel it's getting less likely.
Whether you feel that this makes the transfers more or less likely is up to you but you have to take their opinions into consideration that these people are paid on how likely punters think a transfer is to happen. The fact that papers like the sun work hand in hand in order to advertise Ladbrokes makes me feel that they may be simply making it seem more likely than it actually is in order to make some money.
Same goes for the likes of the rumoured 'Benzema to Arsenal' links.

I think Stones will go through, either this transfer window or the January one.
With Pogba, I hope it happens. This will be our last chance of trying to sign him as Real Madrid and Barcalona will make offers in the future. We saw this with Neymar, we were the first to be linked to him, however eventually Barca became interested and we lost our chance.

If Madrid or Barca really want him, all they need to do is to get a message to him "Hang on till next transfer/season as we are coming to get you. It really depends if he really wants to move in the first place and then to which outfit.
As for Stones, the transfer request proves his intent, but has he indicated he wants to go to London? I'm convinced his request is part of a pre arranged agreement. I do hope it's with us.

Would be odd if it wasn't us seeing as we're the only ones that put in any official bids or showed any official interest.
If it's another club then wouldn't t be akin to tapping up ?

Isn't this type of thing meant to be very illegal
