Tottenham are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over an £18m deal for their forward Heung-Min Son, according to Sky sources.
Sky Germany understands that the 23-year-old is in London to undergo a medical.
Son was due to play for Bayer on Wednesday in their Champions League qualifying second leg tie against Lazio but it is understood the player will not be part of the squad.
Tottenham have had reservations about making a third bid for West Brom striker Saido Berahino and have been exploring other options.
Son impressed in his 38 appearances for Leverkusen last season and featured as they made the knockout stages of the Champions League.
He is a South Korea international with 44 caps and 11 goals and joined the Bundesliga side from Hamburg two years ago.
Obviously he's gonna sort all our problems
Someone!

I don't watch bundlesliga but read up on European football and Son is definetly one of the most exciting and consistent performers in that league. He will come from a league which is like ours so wouldn't have to adapt much either.

I'd like Austin, thought we should of signed him before he went to QPR.
Would rather Berahino though
