Billy Mckay

Just found out that Utd have had a bid of around £200,000 for Billy Mckay.

Personally I do think it would be a great signing, as he is already a proven goalscorer in the league, and we clearly need one at this moment as it looks like it's going to be a long season for Utd.

I'd also like to see us starting with the two up top to give him more support as the midfield just isn't cutting it at the moment and always seem that 4/5 yards too far behind the striker.

We surely must also be letting another striker go as we have an abundance of strikers at the club at the moment.

Thoughts?

Interesting. Hasn't done much at Wigan but was brilliant for Icy Tea. Hopefully he's still got it, would be a welcome addition if he could keep up with his 20 goals/season record in Scotland.

Imagine this means Anier is going and Bilate is utterly crocked. Will also mean McNamara's been given quite a bit of money to spend, so he really should be delivering.

Yeah I wonder if we have chosen to spend money because of the fan pressure on Thompson/Mcnamara or just because of the start to the season we've had.

Anier surely has to go, and I can potentially see Bilate leaving to free up wages or money for Mckay

Anier is out on trial at a Polish club.

And apparently this McKay deal is falling through.

I'd like him to sign along with a much-needed winger.

Just someone quick would be nice.

Any idea why it would be falling through?

No idea. Talk of Hibs making a bid and Ross County looking for him on loan.

Hibs would be an odd one - I'd be surprised if they were offering more and it's a big gamble since Rangers look like they'll be the ones winning that league this year.

County...only because he used to live up there. But would Wigan want to turn down money for him? Can't see it.

Surely Utd would be favourite to land him over the others. Both other moves don't make sense to me. Unless he doesn't agree with Mcnamara

Fingers crossed - could be a great signing if it happens. Proven at this level and a bit of experience, hopefully should help to bring the young lad Murray on a bit (although that might involve playing 4-4-2 so fat chance really).

Really hope this happens, we need a bit of good news.
