So theres Stones, Berahino, there was Schneiderlin, Saurez and countless others that want to leave the but the parent club tries to show that they're strong and refuse to let the player leave, and then the player ends up leaving the next season!
Why do clubs do that ? They are being offered good money, what don't they like money any more ?
We all know Stones is gone next season like wise Berahino and probably for less money then they would have gone for when they first wanted to leave.
So why do clubs refuse to let a player leave when they know that the player in his own mind has already left the club ?
Why do clubs do it ?

No it was one. Fergie convinced him to stay another year. This is common knowledge, don't know why you keep pushing this three year myth, to be honest.

Pretty simple, his value isn't really going to drop massively unless he has a terrible season. May as well have the best defender they can get now for a season and still pick up a good offer at the end of it. With 4 seasons left on his contract they don't really need to worry about that either.

Do we all know? All I know is you are one of many spoilt modern day arrogant football fans, you dont want a level playing field, you just want to go raiding what you class as smaller clubs to continue your success, more focus needed on bringing through your own players and acting with a level of integrity when registering an interest in a player

Unfortunately alot of people on here are below 'pretty simple' so they cannot grasp this

You did this with Henry and Viera. And ended up losing £32m in the process.
--------------------------------------------
should have delayed your laugh until you confirmed your facts.
Viera was virtually driven to the airport by Dein after wenger told him he was surplus to requirements. Viera was crushed after that. Not sure what the story is with Henry, I believe he wanted to win the CL and was pretty conflicted about leaving & Wenger probably nudged him.
Pires was a brocken man when wenger subbed him after Lehman was sent off in the champions league. He was also pushed out.
Cant think of any invincible who actively wanted to leave the club.Even cole left for an extra 5000 for fecks sakes even after chelsea had tapped him up.
Only players who left the club in the stones sort of manner are Cesc, Nasri, RVP & Sagna
The rest were nudged or kicked out namely Adebayor, Kolo & Clichy.

Yeah, clubs should just roll over for the top 4

Not sure how his club backtracking on a verbal contract offer and then Cole leaving to win major honours is being nudged out. Not sure what you're trying to kid yourself about?

Another ill thought out article.
Are you a Sun reader per chance?

Everton are not exactly rolling in money and that makes me wonder they don't want to sell an unproven player for such a high amount. £40m is an absolute steal for a player who could easily flop at Chelsea.
