SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP
Venue: Molineux Date: Saturday, 29 August Kick-off: 15:00 BST
Molineux will host a Charlton side that is sitting 3rd in the table, and which is unbeaten against us in the past 4 games, although Wolves have not lost in their last four home league games against them.
KJ has respect for Charlton, accepting that they play narrow and are difficult to play against.
With a surname the same as the Philippines largest island, Guy Luzon is assembling a side that has ambitions to return to the Premiership after a long absence. Although training with the club, Jermaine Pennant hasn't been signed, so isn't up for consideration.
Wolves have gone 5 games without a clean sheet, and will be looking to turn round the disappointment of the last couple of league games following a happier result in the League Cup against Barnet.
Eyes will be on Benik Afobe, who was rested in the League Cup, and Nouha Dicko, hoping that recent transfer talk hasn't unsettled them. There will surely be a lot of love for the pair emanating from the stands today.
Pie and a Bovril: £5
Teams to follow.

I do wonder why alcohol gets the blame for a lot of trouble at sporting events. It's not the amber liquid that's the problem, it's the people who drink the stuff and the way it effects them.

It would make no difference to the attendance of a football match if alcohol were banned. Just nice to have a drink beforehand as it is before going to the theatre.
Don't judge other people by your standards cinci. You made it clear that for your friends and you the drink comes first and the football second. And you said that applies to all but a handful of football fans. Complete rubbish of course. On a game day many fans would reluctantly give up having a drink before the game, and give up having a pre game meal or natter. What they would only give up on as a last resort is going to the game

Did I imply that?
I thought I said that it was people I knew that went?
This would for the most part exclude those that take family and the older generation.
So my demographic would understandably be the 20 and 30 year olds, they all, to a man make a day of it, drinking prior and after the match, the match is just a part of the whole package.

The game is the most important thing for pretty well everyone that goes to games. Yes, many will enjoy a cold drink, Bovril, or hot dog whilst there, but that's no reason for especially making the journey. Pint, programme, match first half, pie and Bovril, match second half, off home, used to be my pattern of events. (Sometimes a Mr Tika before the game and no need for half time pie).

No it isn't what you implied Cinci it's what you said. That to all but a handful the football comes second to having a drink. And I said, you are posting complete rubbish. All people that go to games regularly would make going to the game the last thing they would give up on a match day.
And all 20 to 30 year olds drink before and after the game? Again complete rubbish. The demographic that I sit at the game with are about a dozen older than that and 7 in that age group. Most of the older ones usually have a couple of drinks before the game, and the younger ones usually don't. They are more likely to go to the gym

It's true. Most of DJs rants at you are due to 'roid rage.'
