The faith in BR is wearing thin isnt it? I said after the 6-1 defeat to stoke (did that really happen!!) that he should have left the job, however I was furious at that result and later I relaxed a tad and thought he probably deserves another go.
This season we started well really, two tough away games no defeat and we really dug in and actually played some nice stuff, it appeared as though the issues of last season had been consigned to history. W Ham were up next a home game vs a side who struggle to score at anfield, never mind win!
Oh dear. Suddenly all the same issues that were present last season came flooding back, defensive blunders, lack of an attacking threat and the feeling the BR still hasnt got the team following a set philosophy. Where was the pressure, the pressing, the "win the ball back quickly" attitude?
The highs and lows, the win well then lose poorly, these massive swings are a big sign to me that maybe BR doesn't know what hes doing, if you have a set philosophy, a way of playing; yes you can lose, but not like we lose, not the 6-1, 0-3 to the likes of w ham and stoke. These swings speak more about BR than any of his press conferences, he has 5 really difficult away games to play over the next couple of months, in between the home games are maybe even more relevant, lose like we did again vs W Ham and hes a goner. Thanks Bren, but you came up short...that could easily be the case if he doesnt turn it around sharply.
Its the highs and lows.

Why weren't West Ham fitter than Bournemouth and Leicester?
===================================
As I said on another thread, it would seem that early in the season, away teams playing deep, and looking to break, are reaping rewards, obviously as the home team, although I didnt see either of West Hams home games, I imagine they had to play more on the front foot, and maybe were undone by similar tactics that saw us taken apart at home by them.
Arsenal, Chelsea, and United have dropped points at home facing similar tactics.

Beat united and you guys will be tugging your maggots again, lots of reasons for yday but its the premier league. Disappointing but not a crisis.
We look below par in terms of creativity but l judge after a few months.

And what will you be doing if you lose to United?

Its not a crisis when u get narrowly beaten at home, but we were smashed by West Ham and we,ve spent milllions. Plus we all know Lovren is shocking and he is still picked

It would be a brilliant result to beat United but if we then lose the next game 3-0 at home, then what? One game won't decide it all. Having read Werner's comments again I am starting to think Rodgers is safe until May unless we are completely sheet.

That performance was reminiscent of most of last season, which is what worries me and is probably worrying most people, because it suggest Rodgers isn't learning.
We had warning of how West Ham would play since they executed the same game plan and won against a narrow Arsenal side, and we played and lost to another Bilic managed side in Besiktas last season who played similarly.
It's great to get points on the board, but it's silly to ignore performances as well. We haven't looked threatening at all barring the first half against Arsenal. I saw a stat somewhere that we've only scored more than one goal in one of our last 11 games, and that was a 2-1 win vs already relegated QPR.
We have kept three clean sheets, but it looks to me as though its due to packing bodies there and blunting the attack. Our defenders (except Clyne tbf) have still been making mistakes which suggests there is still lack of organisation. Even last season we kept a lot of clean sheets but still ended up conceding 48 goals. On the plus side we've looked much better against set pieces so far.
I want BR to turn it around and get us into the top 4 and build on it, but at the moment I can't see it. Little seems to be changing.
